At Community Ed’s State Fair Art Prep camp, 38 Edina students from grades K-10 created and entered 145 art projects in the K-12 Competition at the 2022 Minnesota State Fair. Five of the six elementaries had student entries, along with both middle schools, the high school, and other local kids. Heading to the fair? The projects will be on display at the Education Building and can be identified by a small hornet.
The Rotary Club of Edina recently presented Betsy Nimmo, former social studies teacher at EHS, with its 2022 Chrysanne Manoles Women in Leadership Award. Nimmo recently completed her 15th year teaching at Edina High School. She was an area leader for the social studies department, member of the planning team that was essential in the welcoming of the 9th grade to the high school and was Edina Teacher of the Year in 2017.
The candidacy filing period for persons interested in running for election to the Edina School Board opened Tuesday, Aug. 2 and closes Tuesday, Aug. 16 at 5 p.m. Learn more about the special election and running for school board: https://edinaschools.org/2022election
