Swimming and Diving: Girls

• Season typically starts on a Monday in August where the date is teen number such as 13, 14, 15, or 16.
• JV Conference meet is typically the last weekend in October.
• Varsity Section Meet is typically the second weekend (Wednesday - Saturday) in November.
• State Meet is typically the third weekend in November but there are exceptions.

Swimming: 8-12th grade
Diving: 7-12th grade

• Athletes must be registered by the first day of the season.
• Swimmers must be able to swim 20 x 50s at 1:00 using various competitive strokes.
• Divers must be willing to attempt new dives.
• In the first week coaches will assess athletes and place in training groups starting in Week 2.

• Week 1: All swimmers and divers practice together at South View from 7:30 - 10:00 AM.
• Week 2: We divide the team into three training groups:

1. Green Team - Swimming: Monday - Friday 4:05 - 6:30 PM at SV
2. Green Team - Dryland: Monday & Wednesday 6:30 - 7:30 AM at EHS
3. White Team - Swimming: Monday - Friday 4:05 - 6:00 PM at VV

• Diving Practice - Dryland + Diving: Monday - Friday 4:05 - 6:30 PM at SV
• Once school begins for Green and Diving: Saturday 7:00 - 10:00 AM at SV

Athletes must provide their own swim suits. Swimmers must have goggles and a swim cap. (Team swim caps will be provided prior to the first meet.) Snorkels are needed for training on the Green Team.
