State Tournament: June 4-7

The tryout process takes place during the first week of the season. Players are assigned a starting location either at the Creek Valley Courts or the Community Center Courts by Kuhlman Field. Tryouts are after school typically from 4:00 - 6:30 PM. (They may last a few days or all week.) It is possible that tryouts could occur at indoor courts if weather does not allow outside play. Every player is trying out for Varsity during this process. At the end of the tryout process, all players are informed of their position on the team and most years we do make some cuts. We are very weather dependent and continually need to make adjustments due to the conditions.

All students MUST be registered for Tennis prior to participating in tryouts. Find registration information HERE. *Registration begins on February 1.

Varsity tennis practice will be every non-match day Monday - Friday after school from 4:00 - 6:30 PM at the Creek Valley Paulsen Courts.

JV tennis practice will be every non-match day Monday - Friday after school from 4:30 - 6:30 PM at the Edina Community Center Courts (by Kuhlman Field).

Saturday practice are also a possibility upon coach request.

Players must be available for all practices and matches. We will work on-on-one with student athletes if they have special circumstances, but regular commitment to the team is required. The season is very short and we need players present to meet our goals. Players must provide their own racket, shoes, and practice clothes. Players should also bring water, towels, and any other equipment needed to participate. All players are required to purchase uniforms before the start of the season. Finally, an appropriate level of effort is required to be on the Edina Boys Tennis team - players must come prepared to work at the sport!
